New Metal Roof

When we added a dormer to the back of the house our vintage cedar shingles couldn't handle the lower pitch and we started having some leaking problems.  The cedar shingles had been there a long time so we decided to replace the shingles with metal. It was another fun family project and the new roof looks great!

In the photo below, Anna is struggling to haul a roll of tar paper up the ladder while Quentin (who at 6'6" could have just handed it to her once she climbed up) is texting brother-in-law Trey and telling him what an awesome job he's doing on the roof.

Quentin made sure he was in position and ready by the time she had the tar paper to the roof.
We did have fun! :)

The city has been replacing its water system last fall they replaced the water lines to the house and this summer they replaced the lines to the apartments.  The guys did a great job and didn't disturb our garden at all :)

Bike Riding

The boys (and Anna too) finally got a KTM that has been sitting around the shop for years going.  That sparked some intense interest in motorbike/ATV riding.  Here are some pictures of the fun they had.

Salmon Fishing 2015

We had an awesome salmon run this year.  The fish counters counted more than three times the number of fish coming up the river this year as compared to the averages the last several years.
Quentin put together this year's video. It has more of an artistic flair than just a straight documentary of us catching and processing fish.  Enjoy!
If you get this in an email and the video doesn't show up, click here to watch it.

Tazimina River to the Falls

We took off on a beautiful day up the Tazimina River.  As you can see the boys are ready for any bears we might encounter :)
Everyone stopped to play on a sandbar while Quentin, Anna, Lavonne and I kept going up river to see how far we could get.  Normally the river isn't high enough and we'd never gone all the way to the falls.  Today, the river was high enough.
Quentin did a great job avoiding the rocks and we made it all the way to the falls.
Anna hung out in the bow taking pictures.
The falls were awesome and it was a pretty cool ride getting there.
We had a great time playing and swimming.

Benjamin turned 9 and Anna made some delicious treats to celebrate.

Trey and Deborah's Wedding Slideshow

I took the best of the pictures from Trey and Deborah's wedding and put them to two of the songs they played/had sung at their wedding.
The wedding was so beautiful and they are such a handsome couple I had lots of fun putting it together.
