The Ceremony

The guys stopped behind some trees to blow their shofars to announce the coming of the bridegroom.
Then they ran into the yard to prepare for Trey's arrival.
Trey ran in searching the crowd for Deborah.
Deborah's eyes lit up when she saw Trey.  Paul doesn't look like he is in a big hurry to walk Deborah forward and let her go... forever...
Trey and Deborah ran to meet each other.

Their first kiss.

Their first hug.
The purity and innocence of it all is beautiful.
Jacob carried in the Ketubah.  Caleb carried in the salt and jar for the salt covenant.
 David and Tovah
 Benjamin and Sarah
Titus and Teshuva

I tried to get the boys to smile, but I was told later that it was a solemn event and they weren't supposed to.  :)
The little boys thought sunglasses and earbuds would go well with their suits.  So, I started calling them the FGSS (Flower Girl Secret Service).
Trey and Deborah walking the aisle together.
The farm was the perfect setting for the wedding.
Trey and Deborah each wrote portions of their Ketubah, marriage vows they made to each other.  They read their portions aloud for us.
 Signing their Ketubah
Carson Hughes did an awesome job singing, "When I Say I Do".

Shannon and Paul each shared through scripture about different parts of the ceremony.

 Trey and Deborah exchanging rings.

Orin and Chantel sang a beautiful rendition of, "When God Made You"

Trey and Deborah mixing the salt in the salt covenant.  Once mixed it can't be separated, signifying that the covenant can never be broken.

Shannon and Paul praying over Trey and Deborah.

They shared a glass of wine.
Trey broke the glass so no one else can ever drink from the same glass.

The guys lifted the newlyweds up on a picnic table for the chair dance.

Next we celebrated the Marriage Feast.

The Wedding Day

Excitement was running high as everyone got ready for the wedding.
The girls helped each other get ready.  They normally don't wear makeup, but they all thought a touch for the wedding would be nice  :)
The girls went out for a pre-wedding photo shoot.
The bridesmaids were all Deborah and Trey's sisters.  From left to right:  Tegan, Taryn, Anna, Deborah, Abigail and Tsahavah.  The front row:  Sarah, Teshuva and Tovah

Once the girls were all ready, they came out and mingled with the crowd.  They weren't quite able to visit because the nervous butterflies were too strong. They were there to represent the bride of the Messiah waiting for the Bridegroom.  We are waiting for Yeshua (Jesus) to take us to the marriage feast.
Deborah's bridesmaids were there to make sure her dress remained spotless for her bridegroom :)

Because scripture over and over uses marriage to teach us how our relationship should be with Yahwh, particularly with regards to His return,we did our best to make Trey and Deborah's wedding reflect the picture we see in scripture.
As we all eagerly awaited the bridegroom's arrival, Paul gathered us together and read from Hosea, Jeremiah, Ephesians, Revelations and Matthew 24.  These passages describe the picture of the bride and the bridegroom culminating with the bridegroom returning for His bride.
 My handsome husband.

And then we waited, and speculated.  When will he get here?  Which direction will he be coming from?  Can you see him?  Can you hear his truck?  Are you ready for His coming?

Meanwhile, "back at the ranch" (Paul's cousin, Nick & Janee's house), the guys were getting ready.

                                                            Zac is calming Trey's nerves.
David is taking full advantage of the occasion to splurge on some sweet tea.  Fortunately he also took advantage of the bathroom before they headed out to meet Trey's bride.  :)

The time, picked by Trey's father Shannon to keep the scriptural picture intact, drew near.

The guys found time for a few fun photos on their way to the wedding.

The groomsmen were all Trey and Deborah's brothers and brothers-by-marriage.
From left to right: Carter Hughes, who is betrothed to Trey's sister Taryn, Tyler Lance, Dayton Warren, Trey, Caleb Brendemuhl, Jacob Lance, Joshua Brendemuhl, Quentin Brendemuhl and on the front row:  Benjamin Brendemuhl, David Brendemuhl and Titus Lance.
The guys decided to sneak in the back of Grandma Effie's farm to surprise everyone with Trey's arrival.

The groomsmen ran on ahead to announce their arrival while Shannon and Trey made their way across the field.

Pictures from the ceremony are coming up next.  Thanks to Sarah and Will Warren of A-Team photography   http://www.a-teamphotography.com/   for all the wonderful photos.  Thanks also to Janee Brendemuhl who took some great photos that I added to the posts.

The Sorrows and Joys of Life

My next post was going to be full of pictures of Trey and Deborah's beautiful wedding.  However, I was only back in Nondalton two days when my Dad had a heart attack.  I flew back to North Carolina as fast as I could and met my Mom, two brothers and sister at the hospital.  The next day we all watched together as he passed away.
I love my Dad.  He is an awesome man.  I say that in the present tense because I believe in eternal life made available to us through our saviour and redeemer Yeshua (Jesus) our Messiah.  My Dad loved Yahwh with all of his heart, mind and soul and he loved his neighbor more than he loved himself as was evidenced by his actions.  I look forward to the day we are reunited in the presence of our heavenly Father.

I left the day after the funeral for Colorado so I could be with Abigail for the birth of my first Grandbaby.  Ronen Eliyahu Warren was born the next morning, June 12th, 2014.  Yahwh's timing is perfect!

I can't believe that all 7 lbs. and 12 oz. of Ronen was hidden inside of Abigail.  She did not look that big!
Dayton has been experiencing a lot of firsts.  He changed his first diaper and this picture was taken after his first mostly sleepless night as Ronen hadn't figured out that we sleep at night and stay awake during the day :)
A week after Ronen was born, you can hardly tell that Abigail just had a baby.
Ronen's two Grandma's sitting in the shade and enjoying their Grandbaby.  This picture was taken a few hours before they took me to the airport to head back to Alaska. More bittersweet moments :) I was anxious to get back to Paul and the kids in Alaska, but I sure am going to miss holding Ronen.  Paul can't wait to see his Grandson and all his Uncles and Aunts are excited too.  We need to perfect the beaming technology so we can make regular visits :)

Surely my next post will be full of pictures of Trey and Deborah's beautiful wedding :)
