The Bridegroom Arrives

This is Jasey Davis, she took the pictures for the wedding.  As you can see, she did an awesome job!!!  Thank you Jasey!!!  If you need some pictures taken, you can check her out at

Paul drove Abigail, Susan and the bridesmaids from the cabin to the campground to await Dayton's arrival.
The guests gathered to wait with Abigail.
In the last few weddings held at Kenlake State Park, the groom arrived on a horse.  Dayton rented a convertible Camaro for the day to make his grand entrance.
The car was the boys favorite part of the whole wedding :)
Paul sent Abigail off to meet Dayton.

Dayton & Abigail had picked out their rings together, but they arrived while they were separated.  Dayton wanted to give Abigail her ring before the ceremony started.  They had their backs turned to us so we couldn't tell what they were doing.  Someone wondered out loud if Dayton was texting?!

And then the first kiss....

What a beautiful couple!

Wedding Preperations

We are back in Nondalton and busily putting up this year's salmon run.  Dayton & Abigail are here with us helping out and enjoying their first months of married life.  They're planning on staying until the end of August.  I've got lots of pictures to post of all the fun we're having.
But for now, here are some pictures I thought I'd share of the time leading up to the wedding.
Below the boys are trying on their shirts and ties.

Shopping is hard work and it totally wiped Barrett out.
We did our wedding clothes shopping in Fargo and after we finished the Warrens headed back to Oklahoma and we were headed back to Grandma's house to wait and prepare for the wedding.  Another words... Abigail and Dayton wouldn't see each other again until he came for her on their wedding day!  They were getting a little clingy as the hour of their separation came.  (I think the "allowed to hold hands and no more" rule got pushed to the limit there :) )
As soon as we arrived in Kentucky the girls started making the flowers that would sit on the wedding cake.  They were kinda hard to make :(
Sarah made the cake and Abigail (with everyone's help) decorated it.
Friday afternoon as we were waiting for the window of waiting for the weddings to open, we threw Abigail and Victoria into the lake and then joined them because it was so nice.
Abigail on Deborah's shoulders and Victoria on Olivia's shoulders had a fun chicken fight. I think they pretty much toppled at the same time.
After Shabbat was over the girls started getting their hair ready for the wedding they knew was soon to come.

The groomsmen came and announced the bridegroom was two hours away.  The excitement mounted as the girls dressed in their wedding garments.

Wedding Dance Video

Dayton's brother Will choreographed a really cool dance to Teknon's song "True Love"
It starts out with Dayton & Abigail's first dance which lasts 3 minutes.  Then they run and get the rest of the bridal party to dance with them.

At the end of the evening everyone wanted to see the dance again.  So, here it is again from the front view this time and without the slow dance at the beginning.  They were all pretty tired by this point so it's not quite as sharp as the first one.

Awesome Wedding

 Abigail is married!!!!
The wedding was perfect.  I can't think of anything that could have gone any better.
The shofar sounded at 8 am Sunday morning.  Below the girls are getting ready.
Sarah was definitely the cutest.  We bought an extra dress and Abigail cut it down to fit Sarah and then used the extra material to put flutter sleeves on all the girls dresses.  The skirts were so long that Abigail was able to make a skirt for Sarah with the material left over after she hemmed them.  Yahwh provides!!!

Below Abigail is waiting for Dayton with Mom & Dad, Grandpa and Grandma Rogers, and Grandma Effie. The idea is a little different than the standard wedding where the groom waits for the bride to make her grand entrance.  We are trying to paint the picture of the bride (the church) waiting for the groom Yeshua's (Jesus') to return. Dayton made a grand entrance not on a white horse, but in a white convertible camaro.  It was the closest representation he could find and it definitely made his new brother-in-laws happy.  They thought that was the best part of the whole wedding.  I"ll post pictures of his grand entrance when I get them.
I"ll post pictures of the actual wedding when I get them.  Below is a picture of the ride they gave Abigail & Dayton in the traditional chair dance after the wedding.
Taking pictures after the wedding was a lot of fun with the Warren family.

The kids all think they are going to get to ride away with Dayton & Abigail.
 They didn't agree  :)
Actually they did give rides during the afternoon until the wedding feast a 3 pm.
Sarah Warren made the cake and Abigail and the girls decorated it.  It came out beautiful.
The wedding feast for Dayton & Abigail and Aaron & Victoria was supposed to be held outside but because there was a good chance of rain forecast, we moved it into the tennis center.  It was a good thing, because no sooner had everyone gotten seated inside, it poured like crazy.
As you can see from Abigail's red back, they spent a little too much time driving around in the camaro before the wedding feast.
 Benjamin and Sarah dancing.
 Caleb & Sarah
Haven't you taken enough pictures mom?
Grandpa & Grandma Rogers enjoyed the dancing.  They move pretty good out there :)
We had a fun time of telling stories about both couples.
