Grinding Moose

Richard our next door neighbor shot his first moose.  The custom here in the village is to give away your first moose.    So, Richard brought us down a leg.

Paul didn't get a chance to hunt this season, but God always provides.  

Richard and his Dad got another moose and gave us a leg from that also.

Susan - First Snow

We had our first snow of the year on October 5th, David's birthday.  It stayed for a day and then melted.  A couple days later it snowed again and the ground has been white ever since.  

The kids had fun making snowmen in the wet sticky snow.

Grandma Effie got lots of time to hold Sarah while she was visiting.

Abigail is teaching Sarah to wash dishes at a very young age.  She's wearing the wrap she made for Sarah.  It's very comfortable!

Susan - Birthdays

Within our fellowship of believers and the next door neighbors we had six birthdays between Sept 4th and Oct. 5th.

Anthony turned 9 on Sept 4th.

David Martin turned 17 on Sept 5th.

Skye turned 13 on Sept 9th.

Susan turned 45 on Sept 10th.

Gilana Martin turned 3 on Oct 1st.

and David turned 4 on Oct 5th.

We flew home with our favorite Pilot and were amazed again at how gorgeous the trip home is... 

We normally have quite a few extra kids hanging around the house so Paul took everyone target shooting and berry picking so Sarah and I could rest.
